INTRODUCTION
You wake feeling groggy. You have the distinct sense of oversleeping, even if you may not recall ever going to bed in the first place. And this bed? Definitely not yours, no matter how comfortable it may be. And you'd probably not go to sleep in your street clothes*, right? Well, maybe it's time to smooth out your bedhead and get exploring!
(*or whatever else you were wearing at the last moment you remember)
The first thing you'll notice is the complete absence of windows - are you underground? Though you'll encounter quite a few closed doors, there are some rooms for you to look through and maybe catch your breath in. Maybe it's time for a slushie in the dining room? Impatience won't get you anywhere!
And what's better than a sweet drink to bring strangers together? After all, you're not the only one who's crawled out of bed a little late today. Mingle and don't worry too hard about your current predicament!

Apparently waking up in what seems to be a shelter of some sort -- if the lack of windows is any indication -- doesn't bother Erin Winters much. Far from the strangest situation she's been in. And very far from the most inhospitable place she has been in. There she is, wearing a cape and with unusual clothes on her, turning to someone and just...saying, with the voice of someone who is tired of stuff happening to her]
So, what's your story? Had a night of drinking, got kidnapped into a cab, or did you willingly walk into a place where sunlight is at a premium?
[She's in a foul mood, but truthfully that's generally her default mood. Erin isn't a cheerful one, hah. But at least she's not taking it out on others, she's treating the rest like peers in misfortune.

that, alone, is enough to give him some sense of alarm, considering the fact that his memory seldom fails him. which is why, when he wakes up in an unfamiliar place, his first action is to grab his gun— which is missing. righting himself with the quickness of a soldier, sigma then tries to find the shadows that have followed him persistently these last few days... ]

...well, that's fine. the situation has changed suddenly, but he can adapt in order to increase the chances of his survival. sigma takes stock of the room that he's in for any useful weapons, finds none (as the radio might be useful later), and walks out. if he looks like a slightly scared older teenager that just got out of a goth clothing store, then that's... probably just how it's going to have to be, huh? ]

[ The woman who emerges from Room #1-D has made an effort. Her pale blonde hair has been combed out and rearranged to fall lankly but somehow fashionably around her wan face, whatever she was wearing when she arrived swapped for the complimentary jumpsuit that she manages to wear like it's meant to accentuate her long, lean limbs and the carelessly exposed freckled skin of her chest where the zipper hasn't been closed to the neck. There's not much there, compared to some girls, but what assets she has she's put to work.
She's even managed to salvage some of the remnants of last night's (last week's, even) makeup around her big, soft brown eyes, smearing streaks of clinging black cosmetics into a passable faint smokey look. She steps into the common room lightly, poised and calm, and tilts her head at the people already there. ]
Hi. [ Low, husky, and a little tired. ] Mind if I light up?

[ Klaasje sits on one of the high stools like a poster advertisement for a soda shop, ankles primly crossed where she has them tucked up on the bottom rail, elbow carelessly propped on the diner counter to support her chin in her palm. She alternates between wrapping her lips around the straw of her bright cherry slushie and letting its tip rest on the full bottom curve of her mouth, her eyes heavy and hooded as they drift around the room.
Maybe those eyes land on you. Maybe she smiles, tiny and ambiguous. Maybe she even raises two fingers from her chin and waves with the tiny smile, hello stamped in the crook of her eyebrows under the heavy fringe of her bangs. ]

[ After fully taking stock of the room he woke up in – which provides way less to go on than he'd like – Goro moves onto wandering the hallways, trying to figure out as much as he can about where he is and how he ended up here. He leaves the other numbered doors alone; it's easy enough to assume they're other bedrooms and that their occupants probably wouldn't like being burst in on, but he does try all the other doors, including the locked ones.
He'll put on a pleasant face immediately if he sees anyone approaching him, but for the moment he just skulks through the hallway like

[ After a while of the hallways turning up empty, he figures he might as well try and find some people who might know what the fuck is going on here, and slips into the common room, looking so very nice and charming and absolutely going to make the best first impression on whoever the first person he runs into is. If you see Ruby when she first exits her room, she won't speak to you, no matter what you do. But eventually, you can find her in: ]

[ Ruby sits at the counter, surrounded by several red slushies, all of which sit untouched. If you sit by her, she won't say anything to you, but if you stay there long enough, you might get a terse nod.
Meanwhile, she seems to be conducting some sort of experiment: every so often, she'll order a slushie from the robot. As soon as the order's placed, she'll count under her breath until the kitchen door opens, make a tally mark on the napkin, and then resume counting until the robot returns. This is fine, probably. ]

[ When she's not in the dining room, she's sitting in a chair she's pushed over to the far corner of the common room, away from everyone else. Ruby sits in that chair like an absolute gremlin, knees pulled up to her chest and her hair still a bit spiky from bedhead. She's absorbed in her work, which right now consists of fiddling with the radio from her bedroom. This time, when approached, she's a little friendlier. ]
Signal's weak down here. [ duh. ] I'm surprised this thing plays anything at all.

[One moment he's heading towards the sounds of a fight in the Burn, the next moment he's waking up in an unfamiliar room. It's... not quite as unfamiliar in design as he would expect; while the aesthetics are a bit off, it doesn't strike him as terribly different from... well, not a Garlean adult's room, unless that adult is a huge nerd. Maybe a Garlean teenager? The radios are a little weird considering he can't see any crystals, but... certainly, aside from the lack of windows, this doesn't seem to be a prison.
Nevertheless, he can't exactly relax, both as a result of the circumstances and the fact that all his weapons are gone. He is, perhaps, very slightly ashamed by how much not having Heirsbane is wigging him out, but you know. It's not good! After he's turned the room upside down looking for it, he tests the door and is mildly surprised to find it actually opens. he'll just kind of. mutter to himself about it.]
