INTRODUCTION
You wake feeling groggy. You have the distinct sense of oversleeping, even if you may not recall ever going to bed in the first place. And this bed? Definitely not yours, no matter how comfortable it may be. And you'd probably not go to sleep in your street clothes*, right? Well, maybe it's time to smooth out your bedhead and get exploring!
(*or whatever else you were wearing at the last moment you remember)
The first thing you'll notice is the complete absence of windows - are you underground? Though you'll encounter quite a few closed doors, there are some rooms for you to look through and maybe catch your breath in. Maybe it's time for a slushie in the dining room? Impatience won't get you anywhere!
And what's better than a sweet drink to bring strangers together? After all, you're not the only one who's crawled out of bed a little late today. Mingle and don't worry too hard about your current predicament!
((The Mastermind will introduce themselves at 7pm EST real time.))

Totally. I mean, if there isn't anything fitting, I'm just going to have to improvise. I'm getting pretty good at that. We definitely have enough power, it's just a matter of connecting it!

Thank you for the offer, but... I am pretty certain the air supply is safe. There's no reason to assume it's not!

[ She sounds proud. ]
no subject
[ said in the tone of someone who's perhaps not too far off from a little nervous laughter. that sounds sad? has she had to do this all by herself? ]
Have you two been all alone here?
no subject
Two isn't a bad amount of people to be. She certainly knows how to make things interesting.
no subject
[ even if the amount of fun to be had by all parties can be and is very variable, ]
But is that why you two are doing this? Because you were bored and it was too quiet here?
no subject
[ She sounds genuinely offended at the suggestion, despite having not much room to talk with the way this situation is set up... ]
Pretty much anything else ranks higher on the fun scale than that.
no subject
Or does this SNART machine need some weird and convoluted process to re-power up or something?
no subject
[ Just... making sure she got that right. Now she's not offended so much as baffled. ]
It's not-- The reasons of this are Ianthe's to complain, but it's nothing so silly. I promise!
no subject
... but miss Ianthe does have a reason for it, huh?
no subject
[ Kanon puts all the weight she can into that statement. ]
I won't tell you her secrets, but if she didn't have a reason I would not be following her.
no subject
Plenty of bad guys have reasons too. But sometimes people end up in hard situations.
Am I supposed to think of you two as my enemies, then?
no subject
[ Kanon wishes, very fervently, that her robot body had a mouth that could smile. ]
I won't blame you if you do.
no subject
[ what do morals have to do with deciding whether the people keeping you here are enemies or not? big, sweeping philosophical debates, lofty ideals and clear minded justice— that's someone else she knows.
ro would know a better answer. but ro's not here, and sopmod doesn't like being on her own. ]
You took me away from my friends. They probably think I left without saying goodbye. But if it's not you and some stupid machine did it instead...
I'm still mad at you, don't get me wrong! But there's a difference between being mad at you, and knowing you're the enemy.
no subject
[ Though then she pauses and tilts her head. ]
Maybe I shouldn't tell you that and make it more complicated. I mean, if we're the enemy, that makes matters a lot more clear-cut for you.
no subject
Besides! You still told me that you did it on purpose. Maybe you didn't mean to get us, but you still said you meant to do it to someone. So now—
[ she deflates a little, the fire going out of her as quickly as it'd come. ]
Now I just wanna know why.
no subject
To make sure this all runs smoothly, I can't tell you that.
