Vault 113

You wake feeling groggy. You have the distinct sense of oversleeping, even if you may not recall ever going to bed in the first place. And this bed? Definitely not yours, no matter how comfortable it may be. And you'd probably not go to sleep in your street clothes*, right? Well, maybe it's time to smooth out your bedhead and get exploring!

(*or whatever else you were wearing at the last moment you remember)

The first thing you'll notice is the complete absence of windows - are you underground? Though you'll encounter quite a few closed doors, there are some rooms for you to look through and maybe catch your breath in. Maybe it's time for a slushie in the dining room? Impatience won't get you anywhere!

And what's better than a sweet drink to bring strangers together? After all, you're not the only one who's crawled out of bed a little late today. Mingle and don't worry too hard about your current predicament!

Well...I'm pretty bad at understanding this kind of thing, so I'd like to get along with people who know more...

I see. Though from what I could notice, everyone seems to be equally confused.

Yeah! But I'd rather be confused with other people than confused alone.

[ Surely!!! They can figure out stuff more quickly as a team...or she can copy someone else's homework mentally uh ]

We may be able to create a plan of action if we compile the skills of the entire group. But we're still lacking information. We need that as well.

I'm pretty good at cleaning!

[ Why does she sound like she thinks that would help... ]

Cleaning?

Yeah! Even my husband agrees I keep a tidy house.

[ listen, cleaning means something a little different in his line of work. ]

Are you skilled at something else?

[ If cleaning means murder she can probably do that too - ]

I'm pretty good at athletics!

[ he can work with that. ugh, if only he had even a drop of saber's charisma... ]

I see. Any kind in particular?

Oh, any of them goes fine if someone explains the rules carefully. Sometimes it's a bit hard to control my swing though.

[ She dices the shuttlecocks and such... ]

[ oh, so she's recklessly strong, then...? ]

What about martial arts?

Oh, my brother taught me some self defense!

[ And then she learned more elsewhere. ]

We could use that.

[ maybe it's not the best to have a civilian fight, but from what he could see they're working with very little. it's good to use what they can get.

I do! My younger brother, Yuri! He works as a diplomat!

[ She's very proud of him and also he isn't a diplomat but she doesn't know that. ]

[ oh, government. bad. ]

Must be a tough job as a diplomat if he has to know self-defense.

I think it's just a good skill for everyone to have?

[ You know, if you're walking home late alone, etc. ]

Maybe. I'm the worst person to talk about that, though.

[ he wouldn't know what a 'normal' life is if it smacked him on the face ]

Well! What are your skills?

[ that's a loaded question. for the first time, sigma hesitates, as if trying to come up with something that doesn't sound suspicious. but he knows that anything would look out of place after all that he said, so he goes for something like a half truth. ]

I used to be a soldier.

[ he looks rather young, but it's true! ]

So...stuff related to that.

Oh, I see! But that should be pretty useful, right?

[ Like...survival skills and such? ]

In a normal scenario, maybe.

[ but he's never led others. he's not good at that. maybe his idea of compiling skills is stupid, too, and will amount to nothing. ]

But we're not sure who we're facing. They could be someone completely out of their mind, and there's not much I can do if that happens.
