INTRODUCTION
You wake feeling groggy. You have the distinct sense of oversleeping, even if you may not recall ever going to bed in the first place. And this bed? Definitely not yours, no matter how comfortable it may be. And you'd probably not go to sleep in your street clothes*, right? Well, maybe it's time to smooth out your bedhead and get exploring!
(*or whatever else you were wearing at the last moment you remember)
The first thing you'll notice is the complete absence of windows - are you underground? Though you'll encounter quite a few closed doors, there are some rooms for you to look through and maybe catch your breath in. Maybe it's time for a slushie in the dining room? Impatience won't get you anywhere!
And what's better than a sweet drink to bring strangers together? After all, you're not the only one who's crawled out of bed a little late today. Mingle and don't worry too hard about your current predicament!
((The Mastermind will introduce themselves at 7pm EST real time.))

Apparently waking up in what seems to be a shelter of some sort -- if the lack of windows is any indication -- doesn't bother Erin Winters much. Far from the strangest situation she's been in. And very far from the most inhospitable place she has been in. There she is, wearing a cape and with unusual clothes on her, turning to someone and just...saying, with the voice of someone who is tired of stuff happening to her]
So, what's your story? Had a night of drinking, got kidnapped into a cab, or did you willingly walk into a place where sunlight is at a premium?
[She's in a foul mood, but truthfully that's generally her default mood. Erin isn't a cheerful one, hah. But at least she's not taking it out on others, she's treating the rest like peers in misfortune.
Dining Room]
Oh cor, we got locked into some sort of historical diner museum.
[Erin looks around in disbelief, puzzled and like she thinks this is all a bad joke]
It's like someone saw photos of the ol' American past and decided to recreate it. With misspellings, for added charm. [She flicks a thumb dismissively at the D NER] Somehow this isn't what I imagined the mess hall would be like.

Come to think of it - eh, yeah, kidnappers usually ain't that creative, are they? What's your choice then?
no subject
[Hah, yeah, she expects him to be smart enough to know that no, she was kidnapped as well and she has no idea of what's going on]

Would you really have been able to come up with something less "klee-shay"-- [She languidly snaps her fingers too] --when asked? I didn't see you give a clever answer when I asked.

Premium sunlight? What a concept. [ A tilt of the head. His mouth hidden by a mask, but the smile clear in his eyes. ] I fell asleep in my bed and woke up in a worse one. How did you stumble here?
[ He can't help but engage with someone who looks so irritated. ]
no subject
That's pretty much it. Woke up in a room, and there was this jumpsuit in the closet and what not. No way I'm wearing that thing.
[Nothing against the jumpsuit, she just refuses to submit to whoever locked them here!
........
Well, she'll have to, once her casual clothes get dirty, but still!]

[Hah, she doesn't expect anyone who wasn't asleep to just say it because that would make them look hella suspicious, so she just gives Sigma a shrug. Of course he was asleep, like presumably everyone was.
Well, no, she does ask something:]
No goose eggs on the back of the head, no cracks on the skull, no grogginess from getting knocked out?
[You never know, may as well ask and be sure!]
no subject
[ sigma had already taken stock of his condition before leaving his room, but he takes another second to repeat the process, afterwards shaking his head. ]
None. But that's not strange. I'm sure there's ways to tranquilize someone without many secondary effects.
[ chloroform is actually very dangerous, you know?! ]
no subject
Even the animal and the very much non-organic robot?
[And although she doesn't say so, also the few here that probably aren't human human, haha]

[ He blinks at the sign a few times, then looks back at Erin. ]
What exactly did you have in mind?
no subject
[She worked in a newspaper, she's sensitive to typos and is unforgiving about them!]
Boxes of sludge in little toothpaste tubes. The kind that tastes like sand and oatmeal. Very dystopian.
no subject
Is that common in most prisons where you are? It doesn't seem very appealing.

Uh, none of them? [Said to the tone of, "are you stupid or something?" as he tries to figure out who she is and promptly fails, because she sure does not look like anyone he's ever met before. There's a small inhale here as he tries to collect himself again.]
Alright, look, does that mean you know where we are right now?
no subject
[That's a definite no]
So, no signs someone ambushed you, either? Give me something to work with, surely it can't be all of us are as much in the dark as the next person!
[But no, so far, everyone she talks with has the same story: nothing useful]
no subject
I don't know, okay? Last thing I remember was messing around with some fireworks before we all turned in for the night. [A huff.] Hell if I know who'd go through the hassle of dumping me in this shithole, though.
[Although objectively speaking, this shithole was better furnished than the barracks he had been living in, but let him be pissy.]

[She's half-kidding, yet it turns out it's the first one, hah]

[His tone is sarcastic and light-hearted.]

[Not that it stopped her at all, Erin found their earnest behavior endearing and messed with them for the fun of it]
