You wake feeling groggy. You have the distinct sense of oversleeping, even if you may not recall ever going to bed in the first place. And this bed? Definitely not yours, no matter how comfortable it may be. And you'd probably not go to sleep in your street clothes*, right? Well, maybe it's time to smooth out your bedhead and get exploring!

(*or whatever else you were wearing at the last moment you remember)

The first thing you'll notice is the complete absence of windows - are you underground? Though you'll encounter quite a few closed doors, there are some rooms for you to look through and maybe catch your breath in. Maybe it's time for a slushie in the dining room? Impatience won't get you anywhere!

And what's better than a sweet drink to bring strangers together? After all, you're not the only one who's crawled out of bed a little late today. Mingle and don't worry too hard about your current predicament!

[Oh, another student, Mob notices, though wearing a different kind of uniform than he is. And...this new person certainly looks stressed. Probably from the kidnapping.]

Oh, uh...I don't, sorry. That's a bit concerning, isn't it?

[Mob is concerned, but it's not showing on his face or by the fact that he's just sitting in the common room drinking a slushie.]

That's one way to put it, yeah.

[Tap. Tap. Taptaptaptaptap. It appears that something has taken control of his foot, because Keiichi is not the one telling it to tap so incessantly. A demon, perhaps? Much to consider.]

You... [He looks at the other boy, more properly this time. He blinks, and tilts his head in palpable confusion.] You have a slushie?

Yeah. They’re in the dining room down the hall. [Mob lifts his forearm to point a finger in that direction. If he has the jitters from this situation, they aren’t showing as externally as Keiichi’s are.] Would you like one?

[Keiichi makes unflinching eye contact with the slushie for a couple more valiant moments, before he just laughs, and laughs some more. When he comes down from the fit, he's much calmer, and offers the other boy a revitalized smirk.]

You know what? Sure. [He offers a hand] Keiichi, by the way. Keiichi Maebara. Looks like we'll be stuck together for the time being.

[Mob is a bit confused when the other boy just starts laughing, but...it seems to have calmed him down, at least?]

Oh... [Mob takes Keiichi's hand to shake it, a very tiny smile making its way to his face.] I'm Shigeo Kageyama. It's nice to meet you, Maebara-kun. Even though I don't really know what's going on...I think I'm lucky I'm not here alone or as the only student. I've seen a lot of adults around here...

We're definitely gonna have to stick together in that case. [He nods, with sagacity he does not actually possess, though that hardly stops him.] After all, it's in situations like these that you can feel it the most keenly!

[Stick together...oh, because they're peers! Man, Mob feels extra lucky now that he's found such a friendly guy to be around.]

Yeah, you're probably right. I think I saw a detective walking around trying to figure things out, so we can probably just be careful and stick together while he handles it?

[It's ok to leave things to the experts when it's over your head, after all, Mob thinks. They don't have to know everything.]

[Keiichi raises a hand, and clenches it into a fist.]

Adults are pretty useless, in the end. And detectives... are definitely the most useless kind of adult.

[Then, his stomach growls. Keiichi can feel his face heating up, and he laughs a bit awkwardly.]

...but maybe that can wait a bit. Where's the dining room?

There are adults you can count on. I always thought a detective would know what they were doing though...?

[Mob can't help but wonder what sort of detectives Keiichi has met to give him the impression that they're useless. However, then he hears a biiiiig tummy rumble. Right, they'd been talking about getting slushies.]

Oh, it's all the way down the hall. There was a lot of food? I didn't know what to get, so I just got a slushie.

[Keiichi can feel it... the bond between two men, forming already!!!]

[Mob senses it as well. Could this be the spring of youth? Two young men forging a bond of fire? Or...making friends??]
