You wake feeling groggy. You have the distinct sense of oversleeping, even if you may not recall ever going to bed in the first place. And this bed? Definitely not yours, no matter how comfortable it may be. And you'd probably not go to sleep in your street clothes*, right? Well, maybe it's time to smooth out your bedhead and get exploring!

(*or whatever else you were wearing at the last moment you remember)

The first thing you'll notice is the complete absence of windows - are you underground? Though you'll encounter quite a few closed doors, there are some rooms for you to look through and maybe catch your breath in. Maybe it's time for a slushie in the dining room? Impatience won't get you anywhere!

And what's better than a sweet drink to bring strangers together? After all, you're not the only one who's crawled out of bed a little late today. Mingle and don't worry too hard about your current predicament!

I find myself reticent to get too deeply into the subject unless it is necessary, though I suppose I would be more concerned about those who seem to be civilians. They are a group of ancient immortals who attempt to steer the course of history by manipulating mortals from the shadows and causing calamities.

They sound like a filth-fingered lot, to hide in the shadows and manipulate others for their own ends. I imagine, then, that you aim to put a stop to them?

Oh, no, my concerns are more for others who may be drawn into their machinations--though I suppose it is better to forewarn others. And it is indeed my goal to put an end to their meddling.

I wish to bring about a new society - one free from leadership which corrupts. Much like your Ascians, we too have those who seek to manipulate events from the shadows, protected by the veil of being on the side of the victor. I established a group - Mayhem - to achieve this.

Indeed. Obviously, there are enough people here who seem unfit for this situation that I want to see them out safely, as well, but the more motivators the better.
