INTRODUCTION
You wake feeling groggy. You have the distinct sense of oversleeping, even if you may not recall ever going to bed in the first place. And this bed? Definitely not yours, no matter how comfortable it may be. And you'd probably not go to sleep in your street clothes*, right? Well, maybe it's time to smooth out your bedhead and get exploring!
(*or whatever else you were wearing at the last moment you remember)
The first thing you'll notice is the complete absence of windows - are you underground? Though you'll encounter quite a few closed doors, there are some rooms for you to look through and maybe catch your breath in. Maybe it's time for a slushie in the dining room? Impatience won't get you anywhere!
And what's better than a sweet drink to bring strangers together? After all, you're not the only one who's crawled out of bed a little late today. Mingle and don't worry too hard about your current predicament!
((The Mastermind will introduce themselves at 7pm EST real time.))

Then if you are unaffiliated with - [gestures] - this, who are you?

[He crosses his arms, staring up at Carnivac. He needs to seriously crane his neck to look up towards what he assumed to be the robot's face.]
I dunno about you, but I was kind of in the middle of something before I woke up here. I've got places to be, things to do. I'm going to get to the bottom of this, and then I'm going to get out.

[He has vital business to attend to, though…right now, his influence has led to things to become rather dire.]
I would like to know your name, however. Otherwise I would have to refer to you as “human” - and I cannot imagine that would be particularly enjoyable for either of us. Or specific.

[Also I just realized Carnivac is like...16 inches taller than Nick....]

[16 inches and that’s shrunken down, baby! He is very much Looking Down at the man in front of him.]
It’s Carnivac.

[Kind of a stupid, invasive question, but he may as well ask. Making assumptions when you don't have all the facts is the worst thing you can do as a detective.]

[There’s something for being forward, at least.]
I’m a member of a species of mechanical lifeforms. Cybertronians. Perhaps you’ve heard of them, we waged a war on your planet for several years.
no subject
[As opposed to some people. Like Casey.]
And...uh, no, I actually haven't. [Damn. A robot war on top of all the occult shit going on?] I'm surprised. You'd think I'd know about a robot war happening in my own backyard.

[especially considering a politician just recently revealed herself to be a decepticon on live tv.]
Do you spend much time by yourself?
[do you live under a rock.]
no subject
Um...no?
[He sounds unsure of it, himself. He did spend a good year or two seeing ghosts and staunchly refusing to believe that they were ghosts.]
Listen, I'm kind of new to this whole "secret world I didn't know about" thing.
no subject
[He makes a gesture towards their surroundings.]
Try not to feel overwhelmed.
no subject
Well, uh, it's not the first time in the last few months that my worldview has been completely upended. Wait 'til I tell you about the ghosts.
no subject
I’m waiting.
