You wake feeling groggy. You have the distinct sense of oversleeping, even if you may not recall ever going to bed in the first place. And this bed? Definitely not yours, no matter how comfortable it may be. And you'd probably not go to sleep in your street clothes*, right? Well, maybe it's time to smooth out your bedhead and get exploring!

(*or whatever else you were wearing at the last moment you remember)

The first thing you'll notice is the complete absence of windows - are you underground? Though you'll encounter quite a few closed doors, there are some rooms for you to look through and maybe catch your breath in. Maybe it's time for a slushie in the dining room? Impatience won't get you anywhere!

And what's better than a sweet drink to bring strangers together? After all, you're not the only one who's crawled out of bed a little late today. Mingle and don't worry too hard about your current predicament!

[ Bruh...well, it is certainly true that the floor isn't exactly the most comfortable place to be. That being the case, however— ]

And you're not concerned about sleeping out in the open?

I have the same amount of concern sleeping here than I do sleeping in the room I woke up in.

[ in other words, extremely high. the room may be compromised in ways that he doesn't know of yet, and could easily be designed to kill the person inside it whether it is by sucking out the oxygen or through neurotoxin or even just a contained explosion.

he continues talking, his tone impassive. ]

At least in the open I can keep track of those coming in, and I have two exits I can use if the need to run away ever came up.

[ Well, that's actually impressive.

Maybe he has made an error in underestimating this person. That's something easily corrected anyway, so he will simply decide to acknowledge the explanations with a nod of his head. On the other hand, someone can argue there are faults to the words Sigma has given, but to Arjuna, as long as thought has been given...

Well, it's not an act of carelessness. Sigma can also potentially be a rather light sleeper. ]

You've placed a great deal of thought into this. In the end, even I have to acknowledge that's commendable.

Have you been in a situation like this before?

Not really. This is new to me too. [ frustratingly so. ] But once upon a time I never knew where I would sleep that evening. Or if I would wake up the next day.

[ war does that to a person. makes them overly alert, keeps them constantly in survival mode. arjuna's assumption that sigma's a light sleeper would be correct, as one always had to be ready to pick up a gun and defend themselves against enemies, whether it'd be soldiers or magi.

It's no use to think with a clouded mind, so sleeping helps me clear it. We're in a strange situation.

Then it makes all the more sense, why you would take certain things into consideration.

[ Arjuna remembers a time where he can say that potentially things were 'dangerous', but he his lot in life had been mostly fortunate. Even if now he is a Servant, that history will not change. ]

...It is a strange and unfortunate situation. Though, I'm certain whoever kidnapped us will reveal their motives sooner than later. Which won't be comforting, even if some 'information' is better than nothing.

[ Would one call this Fate/Strange Misfortune—okay, that is a stretch of a terrible joke, but still. ]

Comfort was thrown out the window the moment that we were all taken to an unknown place.

[ which is... fine. whatever, you move on. ]

But information will be useful. Until we get more of it, we can't make any sort of counterplan that doesn't have a high chance of blowing up in our face.

It certainly was.

[ Arjuna can cede to that. Not many people will be able to claim they feel 'comfortable' in such a place. And so perhaps it's also not so much a surprise when he nods to the next.

Though, he does add... ]

Well, at this time it's now a matter of when. Considering how much they have inconvenienced us, I can't say I'd be too unhappy at seeing their plans blow up in their faces.

I wouldn't either.

But from the way that they brought us here, I imagine they had to do quite a bit of planning. It's an uphill battle, in other words.

[ Arjuna absolutely would not judge, because he'd feel the exact same, at least. ]

A great deal amount of planning, and evidently an abundance of resources.

The set up isn't something more...restrictive, in a sense.

[ Not that it's any reason to get comfortable, for obvious reasons. ]

Our captors are confident that we can’t fight against them.

[ an overly confident notion in the long run, perhaps, but sigma sees the benefits in the short run. he has no weapons, he has no magecraft. the most that he has are the clothes on his person and a useless walkie-talkie. ]

Let me guess: you woke up without weapons too.

I suppose for now they have good reason to assume that.

[ Indeed...he holds back a sigh. Can't just Agni Gandiva everyone out of this situation. But, where there's a will, there's a way.

He imagines there must be some method to obtain what they've lost. ]

...Because, yes, you're right. Normally, I'd have been able to have done something about the situation immediately if I were not disarmed. Truthfully speaking, even if our enemy is powerful, I believe if every single one of us were armed, this would be over in an instant.
