You wake feeling groggy. You have the distinct sense of oversleeping, even if you may not recall ever going to bed in the first place. And this bed? Definitely not yours, no matter how comfortable it may be. And you'd probably not go to sleep in your street clothes*, right? Well, maybe it's time to smooth out your bedhead and get exploring!

(*or whatever else you were wearing at the last moment you remember)

The first thing you'll notice is the complete absence of windows - are you underground? Though you'll encounter quite a few closed doors, there are some rooms for you to look through and maybe catch your breath in. Maybe it's time for a slushie in the dining room? Impatience won't get you anywhere!

And what's better than a sweet drink to bring strangers together? After all, you're not the only one who's crawled out of bed a little late today. Mingle and don't worry too hard about your current predicament!

[He feels it as the words come flying out of his mouth, the oh so terribly familiar helpless, aimless anxiety that he's grown to know so well in the past ten days of his life.]

Waking up in the middle of some- some bunker, apparently, after probably being drugged so hard I can't even remember falling asleep? While I'm here wasting time, Satoko is being-

[His mouth slams shut with an audible clack of teeth, and his head snaps away to survey the room again.]

One was taking a nap on one of the seats in the den! You would think this would be the worst time for sleeping, but no, someone didn't think so!

[Erin is absolutely judgmental towards Sigma, hah.

Okay, as waspish as Erin is, the sight of this kid worried for what sounds like another name does get some sympathy from her]

Alright, deep breaths. You're not going to get out of here by fretting intensely. You need to stay calm.

[Keiichi bits the inside of his cheek. She's right. He knows she's right, he came to that very conclusion not too long ago. Pathetic, Keiichi Maebara. Where did your resolve go?]

I know that. I know that! [He lets out a breath.] But this situation is totally messed up. It's like something out of a murder mystery, isn't it?

[Were Keiichi calmer she would totally say that this situation is something out of a movie where a madman plays with prisoners for his own sadistic enjoyment...but that's not going to fly well at all, is it. As much as Erin likes to mess with others, she has her limits, and riling up a kid that's already fretting a lot is one of them]

It is, but then that means the rest of us are generally trustworthy. It's not us versus us, it's us versus whoever got us here.

[Alas, such thought will go out of the window after the details of the situation are revealed further by the overseer in a few hours]

[Keiichi shifts a bit in place, shuffling feet.]

Unless you want to run a con on someone, I've basically got nothing. If it was wilderness survival I'd be more helpful, but as it is...

Oh, good, we're saved.

[She points at him with a nod]

If you know how to run cons successfully that means you have a way with words. You'll be able to distract any creep in charge of this place while me or someone else comes from behind with a pipe to knock them out.

[Hah, okay, it won't happen exactly like that, but point is that she sees Keiichi's self-proclaimed capacity to run a con as a sign of charisma, and at a time like this that's useful! A point of hope!

Aaaaaaand it will get dashed when she sees his immediate reaction upon Ianthe's arrival is to try to murder her, truthfully, but for now she has a favorable opinion of his capacity to help!]
