The Final Trial

It’s been three weeks since this harrowing trial began, since your imprisonment, and now it’s finally coming to a close with little warning or fanfare. Maybe you followed the robot’s advice and got some rest, maybe you prepared.

It doesn’t matter. The air in the vault is the same as it always has been. The ghosts of the past linger, and now is your last chance to escape them before you become one of them.

Your only ally in all of this waits for you in the common room. It’s rude to keep a lady waiting for long.

I. Maybe? I don't know for sure how it works with a digitized human consciousness because you're not supposed to and only crazy people are doing any weird experiments like that but Dolls can make neural backups, sure! And I have free space, I can carry her around, sort of? Or I can put her in Banana like I did Ro that one time!

... We'd still have the problem of needing to get a better body for her though, and I um. Was in the middle of a battlefield before I woke up here. And I also don't know how Ianthe's powers tie into it because I think I saw some math about it earlier?

Worst comes to worst and I think I might be able to leverage a new body for her. Though it wouldn't be so much a robot but more something like a puppet body. I hear that there's a very famous puppet maker in Japan that takes on interesting cases.

I think what you're made out of doesn't matter as much as what you put into it.

[ therefore, even if she's made into a doll or a lifelike puppet, what really matters is the life that she puts into said body. ]

At least in my case the worst of it was over and we were mostly doing cleanup...

The city I was in had a day and a half before it would be wiped off the map with all of us in it. It was kind of a big issue.

... huh, it really must have been different back then if they were okay with bombing an entire city or something ...
