THE FINAL TRIAL
we'll fly away
The Final Trial
It’s been three weeks since this harrowing trial began, since your imprisonment, and now it’s finally coming to a close with little warning or fanfare. Maybe you followed the robot’s advice and got some rest, maybe you prepared.
It doesn’t matter. The air in the vault is the same as it always has been. The ghosts of the past linger, and now is your last chance to escape them before you become one of them.
Your only ally in all of this waits for you in the common room. It’s rude to keep a lady waiting for long.

Vault 113: a short-run murdergame

Nobody here's going to jump to break your neck unlike the first day. I know most of us are violent and with a verified record of bodily harm, but we're trying to be civil. Let's not make this a bloodbath if it doesn't have to be.

[She seems faintly amused.] If this was me being uncivil, you'd know.

[Hah, that's a lie, she doesn't care that much. Still...]
So, how do you see things going from here on?
[What do you think will be the final result of this confrontation, one way or another, Ianthe? Think this will end in we all or you dying? Is the SNART going to work like you hope? Or did things turn futile somehow?]
no subject
[Short and to the point. It's not really what she thinks, of course.]
Or you kill me. But I don't think you'd like what would happen if you did that.

[True, there's nothing that would indicate Ianthe is telling the truth about the consequences of she dying, but better to have all the cards over the table when it comes to trying to be diplomatic]

[She looks over at Kanon.]
But everyone who died during the course of this game will be severed from the computer, and left to wander here forever. Including Kanon. [That's the one she cares about.]
no subject
[Welp, as much as Erin wants to go back home, having most of that bunch wander here forever kind of doesn't sit right with her. She already hesitated a lot while killing Belphegor, of course she'd hesitate even more when the existences of the dead and Kanon is on the balance]
