Indeed. If you are unfamiliar with them, more's the better--they are false gods summoned through zealotry and massive amounts of aether. Their effects on their surroundings would be enough of a problem, but they are capable of enslaving mortals body and soul and brainwashing them into fervent believers, to the point where the only true resource for such victims is death.
